A Phoenix-area landscaper described as "a normal, calm guy" is accused of branding his initials into his girlfriend's vagina while she was drugged.
Christopher Lynn Jackson, 49, of Chandler, was charged with felony aggravated assault. Court records obtained by the Phoenix New Times state that after a baseball game in May, Jackson used a butane torch to heat a branding tool and burn "CJ" onto her vagina, which he declared "was his."
The unidentified woman told investigators she awoke in Chandler's bed in severe pain and saw him with the branding tools. She only recently reported the assault. saying she had been fearful.
The victim said Jackson boasted he had similarly branded other former girlfriends. Police found a butane torch and branding tool during a search of his home.
A man who has lived next to Jackson for 12 years told KSAZ-TV that his neighbor "always seemed like a normal, calm guy."
