Russian fans will have to wait at least a bit longer to see Selena Gomez in the flesh.
Billboard cites Russian accounts in revealing that authorities in that country denied Gomez's request for a visa. The pop star had dates scheduled this week in Minsk, Belarus, and Kiev, Ukraine, and next week in St. Petersburg, but all have been taken off her itinerary.
Organizers suspect that Gomez, who has openly supported gay rights, is the latest casualty of a new Russian law banning "propaganda" promoting non-traditional sexual relationships. Madonna and Lady Gaga have also been affected by the law, which Gaga attacked in a series of tweets earlier this summer.
According to E!, a representative for Gomez confirmed that she will not be traveling to Russia.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
