Ten days before the latest government-shutdown deadline, the House of Representatives voted Friday on legislation that would both keep the government running at post-sequesteration levels and cut funding for the Affordable Care Act. Though the measure is certain to die—either in the Democrat-led Senate or at the desk of President Obama, who has pledged to veto if it gets that far—it adds difficulty to the task of reaching a compromise on how to keep the government from shutting down before September 30.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
