Sami Yusuf, British singer-songwriter, composer, producer and accomplished musician, arrived in Guyana yesterday. He is here to perform on September 28 at the Guyana National Stadium, and a sold out crowd is very much anticipated by organizers- Inspire Inc. in collaboration with the Central Islamic Organization of Guyana (CIOG) and the Muslim Youth League
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

this vid is not the whole presentation eh! religious!
just yesterday I was winding up something with someone very religious and pointed out a few things I noted about spirituality.
back in the west indies I at times found myself with an odd feeling about life. I was out of the flow and into something that was quite unique...a sort of communion...with nature I thought.
I felt odd about it until in my reading I came across commentary about the same thing, the same encounter. then listening to conversations I head the same thing, the same connection as I had experienced several times...by all kinds of people..ethnically/culturally different...by class and gender, religion...all the same thing.
that is what I came to call spirituality...and by observation it was not specific to religion..it had nothing to do with religious doctrine for all people reported it..some who by any stretch could not be reported as religious.
at the same time I did not believe in any god and by the time I was 12 years old I had the very greatest contempt for religion, priesthoods, religious people etc..all of them, without exception. how then I wondered that the seemingly religious made such a vast and enduring contribution to to the production of human art. I knew that religion was/is a crock of shiiite..but how does such a crock lead to such magnificence, the best in humanity in many areas of cultural life?
ultimately I came to see that spirituality I have noted to be the source. it is something that humans feel and it has absolutely nothing to do with the religions although we may think so. Handel and Beethoven, Haydn, Michael Angelo and others were all catholic and driven by spirituality but thought it was catholic. and we know the results of their labours in the field of music.
their work is the product of that spirituality that has nothing to do with religion as we know it. that spirituality, communion is real. I felt it, many times. others speak of it. there is that total human consistency in reports of it. that is concrete and what I go by when I think of god as a reality...but it is god that is quite unlike any of the crap that flows out of religion as we have known religion so far.
as I listen to Sami I hear what I heard in Bethoven and Handel, what I hear in american Gospel, even as that transfers into american and world popular music. it is that generic human spirituality that is as real as daylight.
my antagonist is very religious, very christian. he is a fan of christian gods. I am not..not a fan of any religious doctrine or hierarchical religious organisation or bureaucracy. I do not believe in any such god. but I am open to valid human experience in such matters and wherever such experience leads. it cant lead to Hell for there is no such thing. and what what I speak of has led to so far is magnificent human productions like Sami right here.
I will dig into him a bit more ketchim..as time permits.

I understand fully what you are saying !
As a muslim , music was never part of my madrassa !
unlike hindu and christian always beating tabla and harmonica and clapping hands !
I developed music taste independent of religion ~
i never even knew that Amazing Grace was a religious song :-[
