Malaysia hasn’t had a sitting U.S. president visit since 1966—and now the country will have to wait even longer. President Obama has canceled a trip to Malaysia scheduled for next week due to the government shutdown, Malaysia’s leader said Wednesday. Obama had been scheduled to leave for a four-nation tour that also included Brunei, Indonesia, and the Philippines. What’s more, this is not even the first time Obama has canceled a trip to Asia due to Obamacare—he canceled a trip in 2010 to garner votes for the law. Meanwhile, back in Washington, the Capital remained at a halt and veterans planned another protest at the World War II memorial on Wednesday—and possibly other sites, such as the Lincoln Memorial.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
