CIA Ignored Snowden Warnings
Someone at the CIA is saying “I told you so†this morning. Before Edward Snowden caused a huge headache for the government by leaking thousands of secret documents related to the U.S. domestic spying program, he was written up by his supervisor at the CIA, who raised concerns about a change in work habits and a suspicion that he was trying to access classified computer files without authorization. A note went into his personnel file, but either no one saw it, or the red flags went unheeded. “The weakness of the system†one lawmaker said, is that Snowden, “could still keep his security clearance and move to another job, and the information wasn’t passed on.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
