Kenyans Win NYC Marathon
Kenyans Geoffrey Mutai and Priscah Jeptoo won the New York City marathon on Sunday, in a race filled with meaning after last year’s race was canceled due to Hurricane Sandy and the Boston Marathon bombings earlier this year. Security was “everywhere†in the 26.2-mile, five-borough race, according to the race’s fans. Jeptoo, 29, trailed Bronx resident Buzubesh Deba with just three minutes left to go in the race, and overtook Deba to finish at 2 hours, 25 minutes, and 7 seconds. Mutai, 32, powered ahead in the home stretch of the race, coming into the Central Park finish line at 2 hours, 8 minutes, and 24 seconds. Nearly 50,000 runners competed in the NYC marathon this year.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
