Bai Ketchie, you need to understand that the application of the sindoor is a religious/sacred act. To cop-a-feel as you put it is sacreligious. It is up to the individual if he/she respects the rituals, and its import, sufficiently, to honor it.

I am sure you know some of what I am about to say, but for the benefit of those who don't know - here is a brief history.

The Muslims not only northern India but a large part of the Asian Sub-continent. They ruled for close to 900 years with the Mughal rule ended in 1857. In the early years (711 AD to 1001 AD) the Muslims invaders did not attempt to convert the Indians, they were only raiding the continent to get their hands on some of their riches. At first some of the conversion were forced but eventually when the Hindus (especially the lower caste) saw the teachings and practices of Islam they were drawn to the mosque.

Today, the Hindus are trying real hard to destroy the Muslim monuments that remind them of the Muslims rule in India.

Not true...where are they attempting to destroy the monuments? This is the type of information that one needs to be wary of.

That is a fact. that is the type of stuff you should be wary of. the Hindu fundamentalists have been trying real hard to also 'exterminate' the language of the Muslim rulers and to get their flock to adhere to the devangri script but they are not winning that battle since Bollywood is stuck on the language of poetry which is the bedrock for their musicals.

Hindus are not destroying muslim symbols and monmuments  but they should, who wants to be reminded of their oppressors? 

This is a misrepresentation....I ask you to point out which monuments they have destroyed. Now you are pointing to the language. Can you tell me who/where was this effected. In which institution, and how can that be sanctioned? This misinformation is what is so destructive.
