Five days after Jason Carter jumped into the Georgia governor’s race, his grandfather, former President Jimmy Carter, delivered a speech urging a ban on the death penalty. Within hours, the newly minted candidate felt compelled to issue a retort: while he loves his grandfather, he told a reporter, “I believe in the death penalty for heinous crimes, and that won’t change when I’m governor.â€
The episode spoke to the benefit and potential burden of the Carter surname for the upstart Democratic state senator, who is waging a long-shot bid to unseat first-term Republican Gov. Nathan Deal. Practically everyone in the Peach State knows the Carter name, and in state Democratic circles the ex-president remains a revered figure more than three decades after he left the White House

“He says a lot of things,†the younger Carter said of his grandfather with a laugh, predicting that “we’re going to have a lot of differences in public.†He added, in a more serious tone, “It’s important for folks to know, I’m Jason Carter, I have my beliefs. He’s Jimmy Carter, he has his.â€

I would not vote for Carter but not because of his name....but because he has pandered to the worst elements in politics, the lowest levels.
Jimmy Carters sentiment here on the death penalty is most advanced, most progressive and worthy. his grandson would do himself no harm by standing up on and for such policy. instead he disses his grandfather in the worst way, suggesting he is old and eccentric and so says anything now, no matter how far fetched.
that is not the case at all. Jimmy Carter enunciated very progressive policy by his call for the end of the death penalty. he is not senile and eccentric...and his grandson is a typical empty shirt american politician, for sale from the start, no strength of character or ethical and ideological profundity.
the state kills whom it wants. the death penalty and the judicial system are not about dispensing justice but keeping the poor and ordinary in their places. the death penalty is an instrument of mass murder in the hands of the american elite..indeed any elite at all. I read during this past week here that there is a shortage of anesthesia medication due to the demands of the execution of death row prisoners in the USA.
who are these masses dying..not the sons and daughters of the rich!
when Jimmy Carter calls for the end of the death penalty he means the end of official and legalised mass murder. Carter also implies call for democratic dispensation of justice. by calling for the end of the death penalty Jimmy Carter, an older and wiser man for his experience is calling for social reform of a broad nature, which at this stage in which the president signs-off on the murder of americans each week is urgent.
Jimmy Carter has argued recently cogently, clear and intelligently that there is no longer any semblance of democracy in america under Obama.
Jimmy Carter also went to lengths for this grandson of his, by apologizing to the jews so that they would not oppose and destroy his grandson political ambitions, as they had threatened to do because of Jimmys Caters legitimate criticism of Jews/Zionism and Israel. and this is how he is repaid for that calculated personal humiliation by this lil piece of shiite...humiliated in the public called eccentric and senile..instead of embracing a policy initiative that would pay off in spades..and on which basis if he is elected gives him a great deal of political room to play in given the public agreement with his ideas that would be reflected in his election
politics is the art of the possible. this lil arse wants to be elected on lies and on the favouritism of the establishment. which means he will be an early Jimmy Carter and a current Obama...all beholden to the Zionists through AIPAC.
the Big Cat blasts Carter as second worse and Obama as first worse. but who and what makes them worse Big Cat?
you are consigning lil Carter to the same quality of imprisonment as leader who will be as bad as those you cite for worse..maybe even worse than they have been and are perhaps
lil Carter is a piece of crap who will be a puppet in office. his behavior now exposes that fact as clear as day. screw him!

I might be wrong but when Romney was running against Obama didn’t
this kid come out with video clip of Romney saying something along the line
that low informational voters will not vote for Republicans, reason being that
Republicans do not give out free stuff like: food, phone, housing, condoms ,
abortions, healthcare, Ext.. And he was upset that grandpa Carter was being
compared to Obama so he went searching on the internet and somehow he was the
only one that found this clip and no one else could, with this administration and
all the lies this was a staged event from the democrat party smoke and mirrors.

Enough of these self appointed Family Elites making careers out of politics. Enough of the Carter's, Bush's, Clinton's and Kennedy's and all the rest of these perennial public "help myself" service liars, frauds and looters. The Democrats & Republicans have become the Bloods & Crips fighting gerrymandered turf wars to loot the treasury and get their kids and cronies, like this Carter jerk, a job and gobs of legislated loot.

Jimmy Carter was one of the greatest presidents ever.
The Iran Hostage crisis and the Arab Israeli 1973 war unfortunately fell on his watch and ruined his re election chances . Was a time when there was a modicum of respect for America but warmongering trickle down economics Reagan was elected and the decline of America began .
Jimmy Carter was a decent human being and his peacemaking , habitat for humanity , the Carter center for free and fair elections for the world after he demeritted office is the measure and legacy of the man
