For most NFL players, a Super Bowl ring would be the last thing they'd sell.
The ring is the symbol of a life goal, winning a championship. But not every player feels the same attachment to the ring. The ring might mean more to a star quarterback or longtime veteran starter than it would to a player who was on injured reserve all season.
Which is probably why Damien Berry's Super Bowl XLVII ring is up for auction already, less than a year after he earned it as part of the Ravens team that won it all. BaltimoreRavens.com said Berry's ring (it's not the one pictured above, that's Ray Lewis' ring) is one of 12 championship rings that will be up for auction starting Jan. 13 at GoldinAuction.com. Ravens linebacker Jamie Sharper's ring from Super Bowl XXXV is also up for sale.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
