T&T Murder No 40
By ALEXANDER BRUZUAL Friday, January 24 2014
Newsday
THE nation’s 40th murder for this year was recorded on Wednesday night with the discovery of the body of 79-year-old Bernard Duprey who was found at his Morvant home with his throat slit, mere moments after he left a church service.
Duprey of Upper Wallace Trace, Chinapoo Village, was last seen alive at about 7.30 pm, as he left service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Morvant. On leaving the service, Duprey told his wife he was going home early and he would see her later.
At about 8.15 pm, Duprey’s wife returned home and upon entering the yard screamed on seeing the body of her husband in a pool of blood near the front of their home.
Duprey was stabbed repeatedly and his throat slit. Officers from Morvant Police Station and the Homicide Investigations Bureau including Inspector Jacobs, Inspector Martin, Cpl Jones, Cpl Taylor, PC Nurse, PC Mohammed and WPC Dorman visited the scene.
District Medical Officer Dr Singh later ordered the body removed to the Forensic Science Centre, St James where an autopsy was performed by Dr Valery Alexandrov. Duprey’s daughter Carmen yesterday recalled the last time she saw her father alive was when he left home for church.

Visitors to this site will be under the impression that it is an unsafe country to visit .
Do you have an agenda?
Trinidad is no different from the rest of the caribbean
