Cambio Dealer executed, robbed

A 41 – year –old Cambio Dealer was early Thursday morning (February 20) executed along Lombard Street, Georgetown while on his way to work.
The man has been identified as Bridglall Persaud of Eccles, East Bank Demerara. He was a Cambio dealer who plies his trade along America Street, Georgetown.
According to reports reaching iNews, Persaud was driving along Lombard Street at about 07:30hrs when gun men opened fire on his vehicle, fatally wounding him to his head and leg.
Eyewitnesses say the men then took away a bag and escaped in a waiting vehicle. Relatives later told iNews that the bag contained money in excess of $2M dollars.
When iNews visited the scene of the crime investigators were at the time carrying out their inquiry. A search for the gunmen who police say they have leads to have been launched.
