Veronical Campbell Brown, a two-time Olympic 200m gold medallist, has been cleared to resume her career with immediate effect by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) according to her American based lawyer Howard Jacobs.
The Jamaican’s arbitration hearing before the CAS panel went ahead last week in London in the aftermath of the decision by the Doping Review Board of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) to dismiss the recommendation by the diciplinary panel of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) last October for a public reprimand.
Responding to emailed queries from RJR Sports Monday morning, Jacobs said: "I can confirm that Veronica Campbell-Brown has been cleared by CAS.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
