Official: Pilot Bears Sole Blame
A law-enforcement official involved in the investigation of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 says the pilot, Capt. Zaharie Ahmad Shah, is believed to be responsible for the flight being taken off course and subsequently disappearing. The anonymous investigator told USA Today that there is no evidence that a passenger tried to hijack the plane or that there was any mechanical failure. He said police believe that Zaharie, 53, “deliberately†diverted the plan, and investigators are speaking with his relatives.

A very interesting development. I hope the Malaysian authorities are totally sure about what they are doing, before actually pointing the finger of blame at the captain of the ill-fated flight. I have my doubts whether the debris found in the southern Indian ocean actually belongs to that flight, or if it is something totally different. I just wish these folks completed investigations before giving sound bytes to the media.
