A 4-year-old child in Memphis, Tennessee is now home safe after being taken on a ride while he slept in the backseat of a car as it was repossessed.

Little Kevin was with his grandmother Ruth Brown on the way home from grocery shopping when he fell asleep in the backseat. Brown told WREG News Channel 3 that her daughter’s boyfriend was outside near the car while she unloaded groceries from the vehicle. The grandma went inside the house to find someone to carry Kevin, who was too heavy for her, out of the car. She says that no more than 5 minutes passed and when Brown returned, the car was gone.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Some people leave their kids In the car to avoid being repossessed. I know, because I do repo for a living and have seen them get out of the car and leave their children so no one can take the car. Sometimes though, you can not see inside the unit. I had an employee that took a car while the lady went inside a grocery store and left her child in a car seat. The minute we found the child inside, I met the driver and took the child back to his parents. I think if you leave any child in a car whether it is running or not, out for repo or not, you should be cited for child endangerment. It takes less than on minute to steal or repo a car. That lady did not check on the child for up to 5 minutes, plain stupid. Put her in jail.
