At least 40 Dead in India Train Crash

At least 40 people are dead and 150 are injured following a train crash in India's most populous state, Uttar Pradesh. A passenger train collided with a stationary goods train on Monday. As a result, six coaches of the passenger train, Gorakhdham Express, were derailed as the train was headed to New Delhi. The cause of the crash is unknown, but the chairman of the railway board says that an inquiry has been ordered into the accident. India has suffered a series of lethal train accidents, highlighting the country's travel infrastructure failures. Earlier this month, 19 people died and 130 were injured when a train derailed in Western India.
