Watch Jacksonville Jaguars Games From Poolside Cabanas

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who went 4-12 in the 2013 season, have announced an unusual new scheme to draw fans to games: a swimming pool in the stadium.

The team removed 9,500 seats near one of the end zones and are installing a two level “party deck” that will have two pools and 16 cabanas. The cabanas will be available for $12,500 a game, or $250 per person for the space, 50 tickets and all you can eat and drink.

Chad Johnson, the team’s senior vice president of sales, told ESPN, “We wanted to take areas in our stadium that were underperforming and get creative. It’s no secret that we’ve had tarps on seats, so we wanted to turn that around and build premium areas … What we’ve built here you can’t get anywhere else.”

Johnson said they’ve already sold 65 percent of the cabanas for the 2014 season. The pool cabanas are part of a larger $63 million renovation project for the stadium.
