www.inewsguyana.com] - A 25 – year – old year old mother of three was earlier this morning (Tuesday, June 10) found dead in her Friendship, East Bank Demerara house.
Shelly Persaud was found leaning over a bucket at the bottom of her step by her reputed husband. He is now in police custody.
The woman’s father, Orin Morris suspects foul play and said his daughter could not have drown because her head was in a bucket that barely had water and her underwear was pulled down.
This made him questioned if his youngest daughter was raped. Morris said his daughter looked as if her neck was broken. The father said his daughter’s husband came to his home this morning after 2:30 hours, baring the bad news of his daughter’s demise.
Blood stains were also found around the woman’s home. The man said after his wife died he never entered another relationship and remained focused on raising his children.
Even though the family suspects foul play, he said the woman and her husband seemed happy and never publicly argued.
