PNCR leader David Granger seems poised to retain the party’s leadership during its 18th Biennial Congress next month as none of its leading members seem interested in challenging him for the top spot .

Despite PNCR leader David Granger and other party members labeling the tumultuous recently-held 18th Biennial Congress a “success,†it is being viewed as a step backwards by political analysts, with Granger being seen as slow to take action to reassure supporters and the PPP as the big winner.
“I feel one step was made forward in the past six months, but the aftermath of the Congress is clearly two steps backward. The PPP and the oligarchs with connections to government contracts are the biggest winners. The PNCR congress appears to have achieved what the Rodney COI (Commission of Inquiry) could not,†economist and APNU supporter Tarron Khemraj told Stabroek News.
“While there was no violence at the Congress and the leadership has dismissed allegations of vote rigging, the firing of a gunshot and the loud protestations of disenfranchisement were the worst kind of public relations disaster for the PNCR,†former Speaker of the National Assembly Ralph Ramkarran said in his Sunday Stabroek column, which appears today.

The PNC can't refrain from conflict and confrontation.
They are squabbling for control and power over an irrelevant and dying party. Imagine if these clowns actually won an election, God will not help Guyana just like God is not helping Palestine against the murderous Zionists.

This is just a minor dispute in the PNC family but it is resolved now . It is not like the PPP where they are all like lambs that follows the leader without question .
The PNC will rise again to lead Guyana into a brighter future .
The Guyanese people are fed up with this corrupt PPP govt,

The belief that Indians would ever vote in great numbers for the PNCR faction of APNU is a totally ridiculous one and a pipe dream. On the other hand, it's true the clowns from Region 10 have elevated the spirits of the P.P.P. and trampled on Granger's credentials of discipline and order expected of an ex-military man. An investigation must be held to determine who was responsible for the ruckus at the Congress and the guilty expelled for life. Their actions were deliberate and selfish and have contributed immensely to the cause of the P.P.P. and at the same time played into every negative stereotype associated with the original PNC. Norton, Solomon and the other dimwits had no chance of defeating Granger. My greatest fear now is that their treachery will return the P.P.P. to majority status, a condition that Guyana can hardly afford. Region 10 needs adult supervision and I'm starting to see the Vanessa Kissoon/Oscar Clarke tussle in a different light. Locals do not always have the best solutions because sometimes in the presence of water the fool remains thirsty.

it does not matter who leads PNCR. That leader, because of the ethnic pattern of voting will be heading the opposition. The PPP/C will be the government for as long as the twelfth of never. Indians will never vote for a party other than the P.P.P. They have never done so and will not start now.

Supporters of Granger and the PNC can imitate the ostrich and bury their heads in the sand, but the world is not amused at their exposed ass! I am not going to belabor this issue, but suffice to say the time has come for every political party leader seeking to run Guyana be sent on a three to 6-month Executive Program somewhere overseas.

Warts and all, the only party that attempts to elect a leader democratically is the PNCR. Jagdeo said my successor will be Ramotar and that was it. Janet said my successor will be Jagdeo and that was it. Janet said Cheddi told her to carry on and that was interpreted to be that she must become leader and that was it. Poor Sammy boy was kicked to the curb. Even when she reitired Sammy wasn't good enough. Poor boy was again kicked to the curb. Ramjattan and Trotman had a switching arrangement and that remains AFC policy.

both parties have relics at the helm, although neither of them actually run things.
they are mere puppets for the die-hard old-timers who control the strings.
and with this situation guyana will never improve.
run from the pen, guyanese sheep.
get that visa application going.
