I'm not surprise Trinidad and Tobago is rich with natural resources. It will help with investments from other countries in the region but there's a catch for having natural resources. It's call greed and distrust from other nations who may seek to exploit the country for their benefits. In America there is tremendous dependence on middle eastern countries - particularly Iraq - for oil. Looking at the current state of Iraq sometimes I don't think the fight for natural resources is worth it. I'm not saying this would be the case for Trinidad and Tobago. Just watch your back T&T.

tRINIDAD IS A CROCK OF CRAP!
40 millions is not a lot of oil. but who find it and how do the government prove that what they are told is right relevant to the quantity?
there was a time when the Titty government used to run Titty in the dark. the had no information as to what the country actually had and the corporations would not give it to them. the government could not call up Esso and say well we need this and dat. and we need to speak to the boss immediately.
shell, esso, bP paid them no mind or heed.
today the Titty Government owns the oil. how in the hell did that come about ::confused::
the corporations must have evolved a way to make even more money off Titty by getting the government to assume control responsibility and maintenance costs of the facilities on the ground.
now the Titty government lies to the people about what's in the ground and all else related to its exploitation
