A Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) employee has been stabbed to death and his pregnant wife taken into custody.

Dead is 38-year old Kurtis Mc Kinnon of Plantain Walk, West Bank Demerara.

Residents said the two had an argument and she slit his throat late Sunday night at their residence. Investigators have recovered the murder weapon.

His 37-year old wife was arrested after she went to a nearby police station to report the incident, according to Head of the Criminal Investigations Department, Senior Superintendent Leslie James.

Mc Kinnon, who was a Contractor Supervisor at GWI, died at the West Demerara Regional Hospital while receiving medical attention.
