the Israelis should withdraw from the Strip and announce a unilateral ceasefire. Such a strategy would be less costly both in military and political terms and fairly easy to carry out. Unfortunately there is no guarantee that Hamas would respond in kind.

Israel cannot defend killing innocent civilians.

I heard a Rabbi state that if those citizens voted Hamas into power then they were not "innocent" civilians.  ::sick:: That statement nearly made me physically ill. How evil can a person get. Spewing such evil is astonishing!
