I was shocked when I realised that Scotia Bank had taken over Caribana.  but the shock wore off quickly!  that was bound to happen sooner or later given the way west indians incompetently fought over it and wasted its potential for 45 years or more.

Okay. I don't know where to begin but the current plight of some nations in the West Indies has little to do with the citizens and everything to do with the politicians in charge. The wealthy elite will never suffer as long as they comply with the demands of more powerful western nations. It's like a supply and demand sort of effect with western, mostly European nations providing some type of monetary exchange for natural resources, cheap labor and etc. As for Jess and Al Sharpton, that's simply media creation in the American media.
