Lord Attenborough died at lunchtime on Sunday after a long battle with poor-health.

Among his most famous works include the biographical epic Gandhi and dinosaur thriller Jurassic Park.

Prime Minister David Cameron paid tribute to the entertainment icon.

In a statement he said: "His acting in Brighton Rock was brilliant, his directing of Gandhi was stunning – Richard Attenborough was one of the greats of cinema."

Lord Attenborough clinched eight Oscars for Gandhi, including best film and best director.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
