NEW YORK, (Reuters) - World number one Serena Williams took no chances with the searing heat on Arthur Ashe Stadium court by racing to a 6-1 6-3 rout of Ekaterina Makarova to reach the U.S. Open women’s final yesterday.
Williams, winner of the last two U.S. Opens, came out firing, striking the ball with ferocious force and dazzling accuracy and needed only 60 minutes to advance against the 17th seeded Russian.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

We will probably see a similar result when she faces Caroline Wozniacki in the finals. At any rate it won't be an easy match for Wozniacki, who struggled in her first set of her semifinal against Shuai. Williams is in great form for the tournament and I hope she takes the title.
