It's very unfortunate that the nation still has a lot of families who have such backward thinking. And keeping a woman locked for 3 years just because she refused to give dowry, come on. Let's become a bit more humans.

The whole dowry system is promoted by women specifically by the  prospective groom's mother.
She had to pay a dowry when she got married and she should show some empathy to the prospective bride  but instead only perpetuates  this evil system . The groom only cares bout free  punanni
