Wives are purchased, and in exchange for cattle animals. Which is how it is in Africa. I saw a documentary where an African man said: "A woman and a cow are equal." And he said that because he just bought himself a bride in exchange for one of his cows. And then they have the same thing to deal with from cattle raiders from the north who come in and steal all of a town's cattle and children and kill off the adults, and those stolen children are raised as slaves, and later sent back to their village to cattle raid, killing off the adults and stealing children. When we live by the sword we die by the sword, so if we live as cattle then we'll die as cattle.

So a woman not cooking and changing your diapers is punishment?

It may be punishment for you for her not to do it, but it's punishment for her to do it. You should be able to cook and clean behind yourself. Being your slave is punishment.

If the women are raising hell, that's excellent. It's better for them to break up furniture and throw shoes than to kiss your butt.
