US actress Daniele Watts has said she was "handcuffed and detained" by two Los Angeles police officers who apparently mistook her for a prostitute.
The Django Unchained star said she was approached by the officers after kissing her white husband, Brian James Lucas, in public.
According to accounts on the couple's Facebook pages, Ms Watts was talking on her mobile phone to her father when an officer approached.
Believing she had done nothing wrong, she said she walked away. Two other officers from the Studio City Police Department then arrived and asked for ID.
When she refused they handcuffed her and put her in the back of their car while they checked who she was.
She was released shortly afterwards.
Ms Watts wrote: "Today I was handcuffed and detained by two police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place.

It's America. Not a surprise. What needs to be done is a federal intervention because last Wednesday a biracial man was murdered by cops in Utah as he ran away from them. The cops claim he lunge at them with a sword and yet all the bullet wounds were from behind. In the same week, you had a derange white man with a loaded gun threatening to kill officers, who calmly talked him down and took his gun away with no violence whatsoever. It is a dangerous, systemic pattern of poisonous racism taking lives of black people every week and federal government must step in because these people in uniforms are not cops. Many of them are apart of the Klan and other white supremacist organizations, which explains the death and brutality cases every week. It is not normal for black people to consistently be murder week after week under suspicious circumstances.

I read about this story on a Black women's website, gossip.
The actress refused to show her ID. That irritated the male cop. He then called for a female cop to search her. When all of that time passed, she could have voluntarily displayed her ID then she never would have been handcuffed. [glow=red,2,300]The guy she was with showed his ID[/glow]. So, why couldn't she?
She argued that she was with her white boyfriend, kissing on the open street when someone called the police to report her having sex. The cops were in the wrong for getting irritated enough to "detain" or handcuff her. Yet, it is arguable that she brought that on herself by resisting that cop's request. It was reasonable for the cop to request her ID.

Was this that German speaking black servant in Django Unchained ? Djano's girlfriend ? That was an awesome movie by the way.
These police are making mistake after mistake in a country where whites are going to be a minority very soon.

No. Django's German speaking girl friend was played by Kerry Washington.  This actress played the part of "Coco" the maid in the movie.
