Repeatedly this forum , which is supportive of regional integration, has found it useful from time to time to highlight benefits of closer Caribbean integration and that all states should put their hands to the plough in re-invigorating the push for integration.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

that is a wrong assumption or conclusion..better..whatever it is it is wrong. Caricom has wildy successful for the purpose for which it came into being
the Caricom treaty established a club for the west Indian rich, for the top dogs of the west indies along with their forrin supporters, for the corporations that do business in the west indies and other forrin inverstors.
by Caricom they have effectively locked out everybody else in the region from the higher levales of economics and the society in general. all the top dogs and the forriners with who they dela has access to the whole west indies and the money to travel the region at will..and to do business of their own whatever it is.
it is so expensive to travel the west indies that there is hardly movement of the ordinary west indian folks within the region. we are more isolated from each other that during the colonial/slave periods. hungry west indians, so desperate that they find ways to migrate the region to the spots where money may be bubbling, are the only ones who move within the region.
and when they get to those bubbles they are treated like animals by their very own west indian bretherin
the post in which Jamaican horses dominate the Titty Derby is a case in point.
far from animosity between the Yardys and Titty on the horses, the Yardys praise Trinidadians for being the main upkeep of the Yardy horse-breeding industry. how the hell can that be it struck.. given the usual hostility between the 2 west indian nations.
aaahhh! but the horse racing is the big money people, rich west indian people, the same top Caricom dog. they don't fight each other. they are part of the same club. they help each other. they make a lot of bobol with the forriners and a lot of wealth for themselves. they run the region under Caricom for the forriner and reap soup drinking rewards..except crumbs at their level are huge
What the Caricom treaty has achieved is the re-establishment the old colonial administration, which treats the west indies as colonial as it ever was. the west indian people are still locked out. west indian institutions do not work for the people but still for forrin exploitation of the region
what Caricom does all the time, its basic function is to prepare and effect the western corporate exploitation of the region. they look after the forriner period and not the west indian people.. who are still poor after all these decades of 'Independence'
for the west indan black and brown elites, forrin corporations and investors, CARICOM has achieved all it was set to do very nicely indeed. and of course the Jackass west indian people do not have a clue and eagerly facilitate their own exploitation, by participating in equally jackass, fraudulent and hypocrite west indian electoral politics, populated by political parties all paid for and beholden to the forriner
the west indian people are so sweet. they spit on, denigrate and disparage a person like me, who tell them stuff like this. but they love and embrace the forriner, who has enslaved, colonized and degraded them/us, for going on to 600 years now..the same forriner who gave them AIDs and dengue fever, and an assortment of health maladies which suggests the the west indies was some kind of experimental laboratory for them.
right now growing infertility is the major health challenge in the west indies. that could not have happened by guess or happenstance. it must be the result of some stealth program of attack on the west indian people.
the west indian people do not have a clue about all this nor do they appear to care. lovely isnt it.
god bless Caricom then..old colonial administration that it is

they are already integrated at the top Chairman.
the west indies black/brown elites will never foster an integration from the bottom up..or inclusive of the bottom. as far as the west indian elites are concerned the west indies are integrated already..their integration.. which is them at the top as a solid class of WEST INDIANS, RICH AND PROFESSIONAL.
THE REGION IN THIS WAY WORKS PERFECTLY FOR THEM. THEY WORK HARD TO ORGANIZE THE PEOPLE AND KEEP THEM UNDER CONTROL
THEY WOULD PROLLY ASSASSINATE ANY..INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP.. WHO TRY TO LEAD THE PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR BONDAGE... LEAD THEM TO SOCIAL CHANGE.
these same do not need passports for more than formality when they cross west indian borders. ordinary west indians give each other thunder at customs and immigration. but Caricom officials, west indian politicians etc., suffer no such indignity. they have separate entries. and they fly first class.
what you intimate above will never happen chairman. there will be no proper integration of the west indies from the top down. it is either bottom.. up or more of what we have now, until it blows up or simply dies away.
if there is to be a proper west indian nation..if the people see they need and want a proper integrated nationalistic west indian nation they have to make it themselves. it wont happen otherwise

the full potential of CARICOM as it is constituted... as a re-establishment of the old regional colonial administration..or as a colonial administration, a creation of one...is an evil reality, the one we know, that some of us here actuality live in..live under. there is nothing to but what we have seen. it is not there to realize a good potential for the west indian people but to actually frustrate the realization of the one that exists..the positive regional potential that exists, is possible
Caricom is a holding operation..an operation that holds down the west indian people. it is run by bureaucrats like the European Union, all professional people, unelected and unrepresentative but who do not have as much power in the regional west indies, as the EU bureaucrats do in Europe... or western Asia which is what Europe properly is.
they are all part of a class of people who do the biding of the corporate power. they are the most disgusting people who ever lived. they will do anything at all to foster their own class interest and political control. ANYTHING!
there shining stars are Koffi Annan and Barack Obama..Herman Van Rumpoys and Barasso of the EU. most of their names are unknown yet they have powers greater than the presidents and prime ministers of states. these people are engaged in the rendering of the world that is under under western control, into a Brave New World. the social horror this portends for ordinary people the world over is incalculable..so much so that it freaks out the imagination
and these are the people with their long lists of professional qualifications, from the 'best' schools the ordinary people have been taught to admire and respect. the ordinary people have now vast respect for these people but they are in fact the worse people alive relative to the peoples interest. for example there are few black/african leaders alive anywhere in the world who are not part of this elite which is really international in scope running their nations, regions, down to any NGO small or large.
out of school there is a way to be successful in the professions and that way is to sell your soul to the corporate state. to be independent minded is to commit suicide as a professional in the world.
what we have in the west indies and in the western world is increasing social lock down of the ordinary people, effected by our very own elites in institutions like CARICOM.
