After listening to what the fans thought of him all day, Geno Smith returned the favor after a 24-17 loss to the Lions.
Smith shouted “F*** you†at a fan heckling him as he walked off the field, completing a miserable day for the Jets’ second-year quarterback. Smith had two more turnovers, bringing his season total to seven, looked out of synch for most of the game and heard the crowd of 78,160 at MetLife Stadium chant for backup Michael Vick to enter the game.
Then, as he made his way to the locker room , the fan yelled something that drew Smith’s ire. Smith immediately apologized after the game for his outburst.
“No matter what happened, I have to not feed into it. It’s part of the job,†Smith said. “I understand the fans want to come out and see victories and at times, they get heated. We do, too, as players. What I did was wrong. Two wrongs don’t make a right.â€
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

look at what the media focuses on..Geno pissed at a fan!
bwoy leh mih tell allyuh...what a waste the media is..... the Jets are an awfully coached team, inefficient management of games that has cost the 2 games so far...terrible game plans that calls for an iffy, year and half old quarterback to throw the ball over 30 times every game
deh wont talk about that but are all over Geno pisssed off at a fan. why?
Geno Smith is not very good at this stage. and if he continues in such an inefficient organization he has no future at all. Geno is all ego and emotion rather than common sense. he is being used poorly by his coaching staff. the whole Jets team is so being badly coached by Rex Ryan and his staff. its time to fi'ah Rex. he is exhausted. he needs a rest.

watched the Buffalo game yesterday. the difference in the game was J J Watt. that guy can play his position man. he alone destroyed the Buffalo offence. the man is a hurricane..a one man force of destruction. but for him the Bills would have won handily.
Fitzpatrick is tears. Watt by his play also took shame out of his QB's face and allowed him to get back on stream..to end up with a decent day.
any team that can tamp down Watt will defeat the Texans handily. their defense is good under Crennell but they have no real offence. their defense must also make there offence.
******
the Vikings are doing well indeed. they put the boot to the Falcons yesterday handily.
and Teddy Bridgewater seem a very good prospect by the way his head functioned so well in his play. Bridgewater is no Geno Smith, ego driven hothead, but a cool calculated customer with clear tendency to efficiency and quietude.
the Vikes also exposed a couple of very good young running backs that suggests a certain redundancy for the missing Adrian peterson. oh well! all good things end
****
I expected to awake this morning with the news that Dennis Allen had been fired in Oakland. what are the waiting for...until they return from England?
that Oakland side is the pits. 3 years is way too much for an incompetent like Allen. but I suppose McKenzie intends to sink with his coach.
would serve them both right. both are mediocre

Caldwell appears to have gotten the Detroit ship sailing good, his added pieces in the off season well worth their money. Detroit must make the best use of their defense as they will surely loose Suh next season. Suh is in J J Watt regions as a lineman of great disruptive capability.
we were led astray by the pre-season coverage of the Cowboys. the Cowboys are not a bad team at all but a very good one that had been building all the time. the Cowboys has in particular a very very good young offensive line that at times last time completely shut down the Saints defense, held them at bay. they never got close to Romo...hardly ever hurried him.
I want to see how that line will do against tougher opposition, but in a year or so they will be hard to deal with by even the best defenses.
it also now becomes clear why the cowboys allowed who were supposed to be their best defensive players go to other teams. they have younger alternatives who are shaping up to be just as good. or better
it is not wise to pay attention to media coverage of the NFL..or else it is wise to get to know how to read such coverage properly..or else one will be thoroughly misdirected, led astray.
