Africa is a continent of enormous natural resources. Natural resources equals money and a chance for exploitation. Think of it as slavery where you had humans doing free labor. This labor produces free products, which are sold in large numbers to global western interests around the world. Such sales and profits will naturally increase a country's GDP. This is how the United States became an extremely wealthy nation, a nation that now relies on large loans from China to pay its debts. Anyway, sanctions against Eritrea is logical from a western power's standpoint. You can't have an African country too powerful because it will cause instability on the global power structure where your most wealthiest countries are from Europe or Japan. It's why they are doing Ebola testing right now on poor people. Having African countries gaining access to political and financial power without the influence of western authority will automatically ignite fears into the minds of western political elites who have successfully create an image of the inferior African on the "savage" continent of Africa. The goal is to keep Africa as a whole in a subservient position.

Ok...so when Africa get with the program and get smart? How can they allow the west to be so wrong for so long in Africa and African affairs? Everyone knows Africa's problem...and everyone has a soultion....so why can't they fix it?
After some time we have to stop making excuses and start making things happen.
