I knew this fact years ago. In my country of America, racism is embedded in its foundation and culture. It's disgusting but it's apart of the American landscape. When a black male public figure screws up, the press has a field day. Suddenly, the moral police come aboard and you have multiple organizations fighting for television time just to bring more attention to themselves and not the actual issue of whatever the black male celebrity did. I rarely see this kind of vilification toward white public figures. It may last for a week and go away. With black males or black celebrities period, it will last for years. Simply look at the situation with Chris Brown. I'm not a fan of Chris at all, but mainstream white press do not miss a moment to constantly refer to his assault on Rihanna from 2009. Now with Adrian Peterson and others, it's really a field day for reporters, bloggers and others to pick at the person like vultures.
