Anyone see the documentary of the temple in South India where rats are worshipped. Even their feces is considered holy. I am Hindu and that documentary made me want to puke. Ignorance at its finest or just plain stupidity. These rats nibble on the food and only then is it considered "holy" enough to eat. I will get the link for this. Have a vomit bag ready. :

In New York there is 1 one rat for every 4 people, so that's two million rats. India has it easy!!!

The only rat flick I've ever seen is Willard. ::LOL::
But some people worship insects too. I saw a movie where Tibetan monks got mad at a student who grabbed her shoe and was gonna smash some bugs crawling on the table. ::LOL::
They grabbed and protected the bugs and left her alone at the table. ::LOL::
I try not to laugh though, because it's spiritual matters which are beyond common comprehension.

Did you see the movie '7 Years in Tibet' with Brad Pitt ? The Dalai lama wanted him to build a theater without killing any worms in the dirt.
Really conservative Jain people used to walk around with brooms and sweep the floor or pathway before they walked on them in fear of killing any insects or critters that were not visible. I guess microscopic organisms don't count LMAO. Spirituality is one thing and I have no complaints if anybody wants to worship rats and live with them to feel closer to God. What I mean by ignorance/stupidity is that these people are exposing themselves to disease and potential epidemics because they are not educated. I guess if they chose to worship elephants and their dung I would be less irritated because elephants are not disease ridden and can't pass off thousands of different viral infections to humans.
But having rats nibble on your food before you eat it is pretty extreme. But again that is my opinion. When it produces viral infections that become wide spread and kill innocent people then there must be a stop put to it is all. I have not heard of any epidemics caused by the rat temples here though. So to each is own.

I highly recommend it. The Tibet struggle against Chinese aggression is ongoing. The Dalai Lama had to flee his own country into India for protection after Chinese military occupation. The movie portrays nothing but pure facts and is a must see. The Chinese government banned Brad Pitt from ever entering China after he made this movie. Looks like the Chinese government does not like it when the truth is spread.

Okay Wulf... I'll check it out. 7 Years in Tibet with Brad Pitt. I'll see if Netlfix has it, or if not, I'll pick up a copy from Amazon. I always wanted to learn more about Tibetan mysticism and Chinese opposition to it. But the Chinese government is just an extension of Westernization, because the West did away with truth in the inquisition attacks and witch hunts. Which is the M.O. westernization. They want their populace in a coma so that it become a powerful country and make big money.

Bullshit movie . Tibet has always been part of China . Go read some history about Tibet.
The The Dali Lama ruled over the Tibetans with sheer Brutality . Severed Limbs was a general form of punishment as recorded by visitors to that country in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century .
The Han Chinese liberated those people from feudalism
