The first doctor charged in Egypt with committing female genital mutilation has been acquitted on Thursday. The doctor was charged along with the father of a 13-year-old girl for committing female genital mutilation that led to her death. More than 90 percent of Egyptian women undergo the procedure, which involved a cutting of the clitoris and labia to try and control a woman’s sexual appetite. It was criminalized in 2008.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

It is really sad to know the agony that these females endure. It is good to see that some action is being taken against the persons performing such inhumane act but it is far from over. Individuals are still taking part in it in throughout the continent and it really pains my heart to think that these things are occurring in my mother land.

Oh wow...
That's really messed up. And I heard that a woman is undesirable for marriage if she hasn't had the procedure done. Is that still true?
