Attention :: According to rumors the words "Apan Jhaat" had been said to Dr. Jagan
by J. Nehru in the presence of Mr. LFS Burnham. He did not know Hindi but wrote the words
down and later got its meaning. I don't know if this is true or not but I heard it as a child
growing up from the older folks.
Anybody knew this ?

Kabaka was a Genius : cant speak Hindi but can write um ::LOL::
Winston Parris : I have been reliably informed that in British Guiana, the author of the term was
Daniel Prabhudas Debedin who, in the. 1940's won the Lower East Demerara constituency in which John Lucie Griffith and Sir John Carter were the other candidates. I remember hearing his victory speech in which he thanked John Lucie who robbed Sir John Carter of the votes of the coconut oil producers.
john Lucy's platform was all about making life easier for coconut palm growers and the coconut oil producers. There were many crude coconut oil factories in the villages then, and persons were employed to mash the cus cus, Dr Jagan was too much of an international communist to preach using that term. ..
