Shootings by New York City police officers, whether unintentional or in the course of confrontations with suspects, decreased last year to their lowest level in at least a decade, according to an annual Police Department report released Tuesday. The report covers the final year of the Bloomberg administration, when shootings by officers declined along with crime in the city. In 2013, the report found, there were 40 instances in which officers shot at suspects, down from 45 the previous year and from an 11-year high of 61 in 2003. Eight people died from police gunfire last year, the report found; all were armed with either a gun or a “cutting instrument.†That was down from 16 the year before. There were nine fatal police-involved shootings in 2011.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

and I not counting hispanics. if you calculate them its more bodies in less time..about 3 every 30 hours or so..that is about 6 and one fifth people every week....24 and four fifths a month.....

Why are these folks killed by the police again? We have seen some cases that are controversial and contentious, but the police shootings are for the most part justified, otherwise you would have had more Fergusons on your hands.
Criminals need to be held accountable for their actions,a nd if killing a violent criminal saves lives, and the quality of lives, then I say kudos to that.

Remember that polar vortex the northern part of the US experienced in January and February of 2014. There were less criminals, and people whom racist cops would associate as criminals walking around. That's two months of police officers shooting human beings.
