Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Gregory Isaac, Dennis Brown and John Holt.
If you know Reggae then these names will not be strange to you. They are the masterminds behind what we know as Reggae and they are no loner with us. It is really sad that they are gone and to know that some of them went so soon. I am just privilege to have been around in a time when i was able to go and see some of them live and in living color in concert! it was an experience that words just cannot suffice to describe.
I love dancehall music and there is a place for it on another level of my schema but i am speaking of reggae now and all protocols are to be observed in this genre that is just timeless. These men left us a legacy that is so priceless and for years to come their names will still be calling as the individuals who knew the true meaning of aiming to please and that they did. You go into any one of these parties nowadays and a tune by one of these giants is played and right away there will be an uproar as persons cannot help themselves when good clean authentic music is being played.
Gentlemen you left us with something that allow your memories to remain in our hearts and soul forever, one love.
Peace out!

Did you see Marley and/or Tosh in concert, Nikkishea21? If so, where did you see them to?

Marley's performance at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia on April 26, 1976 is my favourite live concert. Equally as near and dear to me was Peter's performance at the Pulse Superjam festival at the National Arena in December 1983.

He was certainly a soulful one, he always seemed to be so in tuned vocally and filled with such energy, from one point on the stage to the next with such fierce movement. He would be all over the stage and just rocking with his guitar.
His One Love Peace Concert in 1978 held in Jamaica at the national stadium was significant. This one had the leader of the opposition and the leader of the governing party coming together in an attempt to have peace in the nation.

My dear friend Howard Moo Young took some incredible photos at the Peace concert. I'll see if I can dig out some of the negatives he shared with me so I can share them here.

Dillinger that would be awesome! please do share those photos with us as I would greatly enjoy recapping on those moments through photograph. The country is gearing up for his 70th birthday celebration (Bob Marley) as his birthday is next month, February.

The changed the whole reggae music feel. At the moment, my best reggae artist is Damian Marley. Too bad what happened to Vybz Kartel
