first.....I am a very PEACEFUL Muslim and I do not openly or secretly condone any violence...be it in the name of any religion or not.
I especially condemn acts of violence committed in the name of Islam.

second.....do you really and honestly think that there will be no more violence/war if all humans cast off religion??

Firstly Veebs,  very good of you for stating categorically that you do not condone these barbaric acts of violence committed by your fellow Muslims or anyone else for that matter.  It's rather unfortunate that we don't see mass demonstrations from so-called moderate Muslims when they are offended that we see from the extremist Muslims when they are offended.

Second.  I think that a world without religion will be a lot more peaceful than a world with religion.  Absolutely I think that.  Religion, more than any other institution since time immemorial has been responsible for fostering, fermenting, and perpetuating violence, bigotry, and ignorance.  Sadly, it continues to do so notwithstanding all our scientific, philosophical, and technological advancements.

I am thankful for living in a time where I can be encouraged to think for myself and examine on its merits this proposition called religion.  I can critique it, I can agree with it, or I can ridicule or satirize it.  And I can do this without fear of reprisal, intimidation or violence by the religious because of freedom of speech, freedom of expression and secular democratic values.

I will not let these stone age hooligans tell me what I can and cannot read.  I will not let these barbaric monsters tell me what I can or cannot see.  I will not let these religious zealots tell me what I can or cannot hear.  And I will most certainly not let these murderers tell me what or how I must think.

I in no way defend what happened in France but in the final analysis more atrocities are and were committed by Europeans in the rest of the world  .
