I wouldn't blame violence on Islam.
I would just say that violent people depend on religion to be a mirror image of themselves.
You know,
Like how little kids like to look at themselves in the mirror?

That is exactly what they would want you to say. But alas, their holy book make it no secret just where they get the justification for their blood thirsty acts of extreme violence.
Quran (2:191-193)

"And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief]
is worse than killing...
but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah]

I'm just saying that violence isn't caused by Islam because I know many Muslims who aren't violent in any way. Many people are violent within themselves, and what I'm trying to say is that religion is a mirror image of themselves.
