Free community college for all.


President Obama unveiled the idea in a video posted to Facebook on Thursday night. But administration officials provided no price tag, no legislation, and little evidence of Republican support on Capitol Hill.

But the White House says that’s beside the point at this stage.

But the way I see it,

It makes better sense to fund it, because it would increase high school graduation rates and college entry rates. Kids can get some college without drowning in debt the minute they leave high school, and let's face it, the states incur more spending with loan programs because the borrowers can't pay it back and it lands back on the states to bail these lending institutions out. Which not only destroys the financial life of the masses, but also increases state debt. It's cheaper to let college go for free for at least 2 years.
