Man charged after minivan plows through fences and into Ajax house

AJAX, Ont. -- A 44-year-old southern Ontario man is facing charges after a minivan left a path of destruction in a residential area of Ajax, east of Toronto.
Durham regional police say the driver failed to negotiate a curve on Sunday afternoon, and went through two fences before striking a house and a parked car.
Investigators say the van went straight through the two fences before striking the rear wall of a home.
Police say the driver then put the vehicle in reverse and struck a parked car in a driveway of another home.
Police say no one was injured in the collisions.
Ravindra Dudhnath of Ajax is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 milligrams.
