Arty....
You start a thread saying you're off to Guyana, tata, and then you're leaving next week for sure? ::confused::
Shouldn't you have started this thread by saying you're leaving in a week in the first place? ::LOL::

(Reuters) - One person is dead and two are injured after gunfire erupted early on Saturday at a mall in Melbourne, Florida, police said.
"At this time, we believe the situation is contained," said Melbourne police commander Vince Pryce.
Police did not say whether the shooter was dead. Earlier, they had said the shooter was contained after gunfire prompted authorities to evacuate Melbourne Square mall on Florida's east coast.
Pryce said all three people involved in the shooting were found in the same part of the mall. The relationship between them was not immediately clear.
Television station WESH reported the shooting happened in the shopping center's food court after 9 a.m., citing a witness who said two people were injured before the gunman shot himself.
Pryce said the mall would remain closed for the day, as police continued to search stores to make sure everyone had gotten out safely.

(Reuters) - New York Governor Andrew Cuomo will lead one of the first trade missions to Cuba from the United States since the Obama administration loosened travel and trade restrictions on the Communist-ruled Caribbean island, his office confirmed on Saturday.
The Democratic governor will be promoting an initiative which seeks to attract foreign investment to New York state, said spokeswoman Melissa DeRosa.
"As part of the Global NY initiative, Governor Cuomo plans to lead a trade mission to Cuba. This is one of several such trips promoting New York that he plans to take in the coming term," she said.
Cuomo will be among the first high-profile U.S. politicians to visit Cuba since last month's policy shift. Details of the trip will be released "at the appropriate time," his office said.

Gary Kubiak would like to be the next head coach of the Denver Broncos.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Kubiak plans to accept the Broncos job if it’s offered to him by his old friend and teammate, Broncos G.M. John Elway.
And it appears that Kubiak is Elway’s first choice, so there’s a very good chance that Kubiak is the next head coach of the Broncos. Schefter reports that no announcement is expected until Tuesday, but all signs point to Kubiak getting the job.
Kubiak previously claimed that he was happy as the offensive coordinator in Baltimore and wouldn’t leave for a head-coaching opportunity this year, but what he apparently meant was that he wouldn’t have left for any of the head-coaching jobs that were open during the first two weeks of the postseason. Once John Fox was fired and the Denver job became open, Kubiak became interested.
Now Kubiak is the favorite to become the Broncos’ next head coach.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — JetBlue says one of its planes aborted a takeoff at JFK Airport when another aircraft suddenly crossed the runway.
JetBlue spokesman Rick Clark says Flight 1295 to Austin, Texas, was cleared for takeoff on Saturday evening and rolling down the tarmac at full speed when the pilot was forced to put on the brakes.
Clark said there were no injuries.
The JetBlue plane returned to the gate and took off for Austin three hours late.
Clark said he doesn’t know exactly how close the two planes were.
The second plane was Caribbean Airways Flight 526. JetBlue officials said it was not authorized to cross the runway.
No one was immediately available for comment at Caribbean Airways. The Federal Aviation Authority did not immediately respond to a call seeking comment.

General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), Clement Rohee on Monday rubbished claims that the governing party has been contradicting itself about interference in Guyana’s internal affairs on grounds that the country is now a democracy.
“I don’t think that was prior to 1992 that was meddling. If it was meddling, it was justified meddling,†he said.
Rohee conceded that his party had lobbied the United States (US) State Department, Carter Centre and other international organisations prior to 1992 when the country’s free and fair elections in almost 30 years were held.
Against the background of calls by the US and the United Kingdom for Guyana to hold long overdue local government elections and more recently general elections, Rohee contended that those calls were politically motivated by the opposition A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) and the Alliance For Change (AFC). Asked whether the “meddling†was justified in the current circumstances, he said “No, because in those days (pre-1992) you had an undemocratic regime that held on to political power by rigged elections and, therefore, regime change – even though the phrase was not coined in those days- was applicable,†he said
The US, Britain and the Organisation of American States (OAS) have called for an end to the now two-month old suspension of Parliament. President Donald Ramotar prorogued the Parliament on November 10, 2014 mere hours before the combined opposition-controlled House had been due to pass a no-confidence motion in his administration.
