(Reuters) - CBS Sports basketball analyst Greg Anthony has been suspended indefinitely by the network, a CBS spokesperson said on Saturday, a day after he was arrested in Washington, D.C., on a charge of soliciting prostitution.
"Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season," the spokesperson said in an email.
Anthony, 47, was arrested Friday evening after making an agreement for sexual favors, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
His agent did not immediately respond to a request for comment on his arrest.
Anthony played 11 seasons in the National Basketball Association before joining CBS in 2008 as lead studio analyst for the network's college basketball coverage, according to his network biography.
He had been scheduled to work CBS' broadcast of the Michigan State-Maryland basketball game in College Park, Maryland, on Saturday.

I didn't know that men are still being arrested for picking up prostitutes. ::confused::
With all this sex in the air everywhere we go, I thought that went out a long time ago.
I thought it was a new perverted world in perversion glory.

I find it hard to believe that Greg Anthony is the only guy at CBS network copulating with prostitutes.
So are they just picking on Anthony because he's black?

The cops sometimes run ads online for their prostitution stings and that is what happened to Greg Anthony.
He just happen to answer the wrong ad this time.

Okay, but why fire him?
I find it hard to believe that he's the only guy at CBS copulating with hookers.

It is my opinion especially in DC that the cops have far greater problems men answering backpage ads for hookers. They need more DRUG & GANG Stings and less prostitution stings in my opinion. Regardless of how you feel about Anthony stepping out of his wife, honestly this shouldn’t be a crime that you lose your career over.

I agree...
And yet, people feel supportive of Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson loosing their job for domestic violence. It's okay to get fired for being with a hooker not okay to be fired for battering your wife and kids? Hmmm... Humans are strange lot.
