Ramotar sets May 11 for elections

In an address to the nation, President Donald Ramotar this evening announced that general and regional elections will be held on May 11th, 2015.

He said that he was advised that the Guyana Elections Commission would be in a state of readiness for polls on that date.

In recent weeks the President has come under intense pressure from here and abroad to name a date.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
