Toronto police have opened the city's fifth homicide case of the year after friends found a man dead in his home on Wednesday.
The man's body was found in a home at 594 Danforth Rd., near Warden and St. Clair Avenues, Const. Jeniffer Sidhu said Friday.
Sidhu said friends hadn't heard from the 48-year-old man since Sunday, so they went to his home on Wednesday to check on him.
When they entered the home, they found the man unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead shortly after being found.
Toronto Police Homicide Det. Steve Ryan is leading an investigation into the death.
The man has not yet been publicly identified.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
