TORONTO (AP) — Police are asking for the public's help in trying to determine who built a mysterious underground tunnel near York University in Toronto.
Deputy Chief Mark Saunders said Tuesday the tunnel is 10 meters (10 yards) long and two meters (two yards) high. He said it isn't near any infrastructure and doesn't appear to lead anywhere.
The chamber was discovered Jan. 14 in a secluded wooded area by a conservation officer who spotted a large pile of dirt. Saunders said more than one person with some level of expertise likely built it.
Police found plywood wall supports, a gas generator, moisture resistant light bulbs, a sump pump for removing ground water, a wheelbarrow and food and beverage containers. They also found a rosary with a Remembrance Day poppy nailed to a wall.
Saunders said there's nothing to suggest a criminal element.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Gee,
Does Toronto pay attention to anything?
What are those people doing over there? ::confused::
First, they couldn't find the Scarsborough rapist. Not even after they found DNA evidence of the guy.
And now somebody built a tunnel near a university and nobody seen it happening? ::confused::
Damn, it really sounds like a scary place.

So a couple of guys dug a tunnel to make an underground man cave. It was a place to hang out and maybe have a barbecue. A barbecue! In a confined space! These guys are lucky their man cave didn’t become their man grave!

Hahahaha. I read about this 2 weeks ago. A young man already came forward and confessed the mysterious tunnel was simply a hideout for himself and maybe friends. He was afraid of coming forward for fear of being arrested and label a terrorist. Thank goodness this did not happen as he was a black person and any adjective to vilify a person a color usually come within seconds if the story has a negative twist. Too bad the young man have to deal with the outcome of the tunnel being destroy.

Well it would have been place for resting and relaxing and gettting out the stress from the daily living and working hard to provide for family or for yourself and made this to live in which is good. Well the guys are lucky no one had tried to take anything from it as that would have wasted the time they took in making the place and also putting the things they need in there. It is good they did not get in trouble as, they did not do anything wrong and it was used for personal use and nothing illegal was going on in there.
