Guyana rejects Venezuela’s concerns over drilling

Guyana yesterday sharply rebuffed concerns raised by Venezuela in the wake of a US company drilling for oil here and reiterated that it was studying options under the Geneva Agreement to bring the longstanding territorial controversy with Caracas to an end.

In a statement, dated March 3rd and published as an advertisement in the Kaieteur News yesterday, Caracas denied that Venezuela had sought to stymie the development of Guyana and said that Georgetown’s statements to this effect are “unacceptable and unjust.”

guyana raising its voice.....what on earth gives guyanan powah to raise deh voice ::confused:: ::confused::  it  have 27 million venezuelans with planes and tanks and all kind ah war stuff that makes the west indies impse and guyana an dem even less.

wat actually going orn here...the guyanan an dem getting spounce to go fight venezuela.  I see deh send the right american ambassador fuh dat.

I am disappointed with Ramatar after getting to like him a lil bit.  he is a fool.  if there ever was a juncture fuh guyana to stan' up to skunt Obama it is now. 

guyana get benefit from petro caribe...all of CELAC is united behind venezuela.  the regions has untied some american fingahs from around its throat, and trying to get boths hands off its neck. guyana have to join in dat struggle.  guyana is not alone if they say 'well we have to live here long after america dies as a world powah. we have to keep we friends and be a good citizen in the region.. and a friend america is not..but a most traitorous entity.  remember Saddam ::confused:: ::confused::

so why wud Ramata at this time, when uncle sam growing the pressure on venezuela Guyanan an dem joining up with the pressha on Maduro ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused::  the way chavez and maduro behave to the region guyanan cud easily have already negotiated that situation long time with venezuela.  why now...and why guyana behavin' so?

it looks chupid to me..likely to create decades, if not centuries long enmity between guyana and a venezuela..with the whole region. I don't see how guyana can afford dat.  guyana shud not join in any presshah on venezuela when its back is against a wall.  no latin country is going to forgive guyanan fuh dat.
