During an appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump deflected criticism about his treatment of women and boasted instead that he will “be phenomenal to the women.†Trump came under fire and was uninvited from Saturday’s Red State Gathering after remarking that Fox News host Megyn Kelly “had blood coming out of her wherever†while serving as moderator during the GOP debate. Trump turned the focus to Jeb Bush, who said last week, “I’m not sure we need half a billion dollars for women’s health issues.†“I’m exactly the opposite,†Trump told John Dickerson. “I will be phenomenal to the women. What Jeb Bush said last week I thought was totally out of order. Then he came back a day later and he said ‘oh I misspoke’—well that’s an awfully bad thing to misspeak about. I just don’t think you misspeak that way.†Trump backtracked his Megyn Kelly comment Saturday, tweeting that by “wherever,†he meant “NOSE.â€
