[/color][color=rgb(20, 24, 35)][/size](EL UNIVERSAL) PRESIDENT Nicolas Maduro said Monday that the Organization of American States (OAS) in 65 years of existence, has killed “thousands of lives.†“How many lives over? In Dominican Republic, Granada, Nicaragua, Panama, Chile .., thousands! How many saved?†questioned the Venezuelan leader at the extraordinary meeting of the Political Council of Alba Trade Treaty of the Peoples (TCP) that took place at Caracas House. The statement was made in contrast with international organizations such as ALBA, Petrocaribe, UNASUR, CARICOM, which he said are essential parts of “another world already born†for a new reality of the twenty-first century. Likewise, Maduro said that “the oligarchy†has activated plans to “harass progressive and revolutionary processes, to try to destroy them.â€
“I say this from Venezuela,†he added. “I have evidence of how the Southern Command has placed key officials in the US embassy in Venezuela to head the vulture plan to sabotage the economy of violence.†He noted that in the coming days a special Venezuelan commission will be installed with the government US to present the evidence. “They want these sabotage attempts to end in coups…I am sure of that, things point to there if you look at the brutality with which they attack, coordinating criminal gangs, attacking the economy from the inside, from the outside, attacking the people, generating groups of the extreme right,†Maduro claim. These conspiracies, the Venezuelan leader stressed, must be tackled head on.
