Civil Rights Activist Julian Bond Dies
Julian Bond, civil rights activist and former chairman of the NAACP, passed away Saturday night according to a statement from the Southern Poverty Law Center. Bond, who was 75, was the first president of SPLC and died in Fort Walton, Florida after a brief illness. When he was a student at Morehouse College in the 1960s, Bond helped create the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee and became a soldier on the front lines of the ongoing civil rights battle.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
